What devices can be used in school for communication?

   Many electronic devices can be used to facilitate better communication and learning at school. They can efficiently send word and reminders to everyone with a simple click of a button.    

   At the same time, introducing devices into the classroom can engage students and encourage more participation in activities. Below are some examples.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

 

Device:  a thing made or adopted for a particular purpose, especially a piece of mechanical or electronic equipment

Computers / Laptops ~

You can: check Emails, message other people, prepare lesson materials, connect to printer, research topics, complete school projects, go on virtual meetings etc.

Projector ~

You can: project computer/iPad screens onto the wall, show videos, show instructions and lesson materials

Printer ~ 

You can: print out notes and lesson materials, (only in some printers) fax people and scan documents

Smart watch ~

You can: receive and send messages, check the time, call people

Portable mic and speaker set ~

You can: make sure your voice can be heard by everyone in a room when presenting / teaching, take it everywhere with you

Announcement system ~

You can: announce important notices or directions to the entire school at the same time

Speaker ~

You can: let everyone in school be aware of the important announcements

USB ~

You can: save important files and documents, work on any computer anywhere

iPad ~

You can: take digital notes, check Emails, look at lesson materials, research topics, draw digital drawings, use apps to create animations or games etc. 

Phone ~ 

You can: receive phone calls and text messages, check Emails, look at lesson materials, research topics, play games like Kahoot, do translations etc.

Telephone ~ 

You can: receive and redirect calls, phone teachers and parents
